Community Yard Sale
Join your neighbors in the Oaks Historic District for a Community Yard Sale! Everyone is invited to host their own yard sale on the same day, making it the perfect time for bargain hungers to shop in one convenient area!
How to Participate:
Message the OHD with your name and address. Your address will not be published.
Set up in your own yard - no need to bring items elsewhere.
Advertise - spread the word to friends, family, and online groups. We will also promote the sale.
Mark your location - use balloons, signs, or decorations to guide people to your sale.
OHD Quarterly Gathering
Join the Oaks Historic District Neighborhood Association for our quarterly gather, Saturday, April 26, at 9 a.m.!
We'll have someone from Beaumont Crimestoppers as well as candidates for local upcoming city elections.
Meet your neighbors, chat all things happening in the OHD, and get informed at the same time!
Note: Typically quarterly meetings are held the third Saturday, but this event was moved because of Easter weekend.
OHD Quarterly Gathering
Join us to hear an update on events in the neighborhood, safety reports from the Beaumont Police Department, and enjoy an opportunity to meet and catch up with neighbors!
OHD Christmas Party
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night! Join us Monday, December 9, as the Oaks Historic District celebrates the holidays.
Maryclaire is making her famous gumbo for everyone, so please bring an appetizer or dessert to round out the party.

Porchfest 2024

OHD Cleanup
We are a few weeks away from the biggest cleanup event in the Oaks Historic District! We’ll meet at 2400 Long Street for a donut, coffee, and OJ breakfast and to pass out nitrile gloves and trash bags and to split into teams.
Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty and bring any additional equipment to make the job easier.
Thanks for helping us keep the OHD clean!
Quarterly OHD Meeting
Join us at the McFaddin-Ward House Museum Visitors Center on Caldear at 9 a.m. Saturday, October 19 to learn more about the neighborhood and upcoming events.
Annual Membership Drive
Demonstrate your support for the Oaks Historic District by becoming a member at our annual membership drive, Monday, July 15, at 6:30 p.m., at the beautiful Junior League of Beaumont, 2388 McFaddin!
Pay a membership fee at any level for your household, or become a lifetime member for $1,000. Your funds support our free community events, resident scholarships, neighborhood beautification, and our NEW grant program for Oaks homeowners.
Meet your neighbors and friends old and new, learn more about the neighborhood and upcoming events, and even join the board if you'd like to be more involved.
We'll have light refreshments, so come prepared to mix and mingle.

Porchfest
It’s time for the second annual Porchfest! A free event, Porchfest will feature several historic homes with local musicians playing on porches throughout the neighborhood. Bring lawn chairs and a picnic for the whole family!

Help us keep the Oaks Historic District tidy! Meet us at 8 a.m. for donuts and juice and then walk with your neighbors block by block to pick up trash!
Annual Membership Drive
Help us celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Oaks Historic District Neighborhood Association! Join us on Monday, July 17, at 7 p.m. at The Laurels for a look back over the years and for our annual membership drive. Memberships for households start at $25. Follow the yellow brick road,and come meet your neighbors!
