Oaks Historic District Neighborhood Association Grant Program
The Oaks Historic District Neighborhood Association is pleased to offer Oaks Historic District homeowners the opportunity for small grants up to $500 to assist with repairs, improvements, renovations, preservation efforts, and modifications for health and safety.
-
Applicants must be a current homeowner and occupant of the Oaks Historic District* and earn below the average household income of Beaumont, Texas ($77,970). Repairs, improvements, renovations, preservation, and modifications for health and safety must be approved by the City of Beaumont and the Historic Landmark Commission prior to funds being released - the Oaks Historic District Neighborhood Association board can help with the permitting and approvals process.
*The Oaks Historic District extends to Beech Street on the north, Rusk on the south, 1st Street to the east, and 11th Street to the west. If you are unsure whether your property is part of the Oaks Historic District, please contact the board for confirmation.
